
Rhode Island is the smallest state in the United States of America and the full name of the state is Rhode Island and Providence plantations. The state is situated between Massachusetts and Connecticut and it has been said that this states main hobby is politics.
Rhode Island boasts with over 400 miles of coastline and is aptly referred to as the Ocean State. Some of the cities you will find in the state are Newport, South Kingston, Pawtucket, East Greenwich, Central Falls, Providence, Warwick and Woonsocket.
Traveling to Rhode Island is pretty easy as the state is bisected by the Interstate 95 road. If you prefer traveling by air then you best bet would probably be to fly to the nearby city of Boston, which is less than an hour from Rhodes Island's capitol city of Providence. From Boston's Logan International Airport you will be able to get a rental car to travel into Rhode Island. You could also take a taxi or shuttle from Boston's Logan International Airport to the South Station (also in Boston) and from there you can hop on the MBTA rail which travels directly to Providence.
If you do not want to travel from Boston into Rhode Island, you can fly directly to the Theodore Francis Green State Airport in Warwick. This airport is not serviced by all the major domestic airlines so make sure that you check before you book your tickets.
